Beautiful! This certainly is apparent when I am creating art or gardening. I talk to myself....asking myself, what if, isn't this interesting, why not add or change this and see what happens...it is in the moment, the present that keeps us in touch with reality as you state. When I am gardening, I am using my body, my eyes, my hands that touch and feel. It is the same when I create art, sew, clean, walk my little Lukie. I am listening to the music of the birds outside, listen to the silence of space that surrounds me while I paint and draw, or listen to the beautiful strings of an orchestra. When I think of it, laughter is also the most centering exercise...my whole body benefits from the action and it totally calms the mind, leaving my body feeling relaxed. No wonder Dr. Bernie Siegel explored the positive healing effects of laughter had on patients.

I agree Joan. You have found many ways to be present and notice how it feels; compared to when you sit and worry about a future that isn't here and we can't know Or trying to change the past with thoughts.

My body, mind and soul are at peace with reality. No matter how it arrives.
